PVKZ is a volunteer and donation based non-profit run by neighbors for neighbors in the Park View neighborhood in Washington, DC just north of Howard University. We offer all sorts of free programming for the children, teens, and young adults in the Park View neighborhood. Our weekly programs include Man Up group, Young Ladies Group, Teen Art Night, Reading Circle, GED Tutor
ing, Community Gardening and entrepreneurship programs. Other events also a part of our regular programming are field trips, career days, college tours, summer camps, Fun Saturday’s, and community wide holiday events. Since moving into Park View Mrs. Angela has become the “Street Mom” of our neighborhood! A title the youth gave her. Mrs. A and Mr. Ira’s home is constantly full of young men studying for their GED, teens working on their homework, kids making crafts in our basement, and a dinner table full of smiling faces each night. Their home is truly the neighborhood home. Simply put they don’t just run programs they see their community as their family.
